Barkova Anna Alexandrovna
Poet, novelist, playwright and publicist.
Genus. in 1901 in Ivanovo-Voznesensk. On December 25, 1934 she was arrested for the first time. Sentenced on March 26, 1935 by a special meeting of the NKVD of the USSR “for counter-revolutionary activities” to 6 years in labor camp. Sent to Karlag, from where she was released in December 1939. She tried to return to Moscow, but unsuccessfully; in the fall of 1940 she began to live in Kaluga. On November 27, 1947 she was arrested again (reason: previous criminal record and residence in occupied territory). Charged under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR. Sentenced on February 16, 1948 by the Kaluga Regional Court to 10 years in forced labor camps. She was kept until January 1956 in the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic (Inta, Abez). In the fall of 1957, she was rehabilitated from both convictions. Lived at the station. Shterovka, Ivanovo district, Voroshilovgrad region. Arrested on November 16, 1957 for “anti-Soviet conversations” with a former prisoner . Sentenced by the Lugansk Regional Court on March 27, 1958 under Art. 54-10 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR to 10 years of labor camp. In 1965 she was pardoned. Released on May 10, 1965. By the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Ukrainian SSR dated May 15, 1965, the case was terminated. She died in Moscow in 1976.
