Definition: Soviet and German philologist, participant in the human rights movement in the USSR.
Reproduction methods:
Genus. in 1943 in the Udmurt Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, Kezsky district, St. Kez; Jew; incomplete higher education, 1964–1969 studied at the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Tartu. Lived in Moscow. Arrested 07/03/1973. Sentenced by the Oryol Regional Court on May 14, 1974 under Art. 70 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 5 years of imprisonment and 2 years of exile. He served his term in the Perm camps and Vladimir prison, and exile in the Turgai region of the Kazakh SSR. Released on April 24, 1980. Rehabilitated on March 16, 1992 by the conclusion of the Prosecutor's Office of the Oryol Region on the basis of the Law of the Russian Federation of October 18, 1991. In May 1983 he emigrated from the USSR and settled in Germany. In 1984-1994. - employee of the Samizdat Archive of Radio Liberty. In 1995-2009 - Archivist at the Institute for Eastern European Studies at the University of Bremen.
