Kozhanov Mikhail Tikhonovich
Genus. in 1895 in the village of Gushchino, Dorogobuzh district, Smolensk province; Russian; from 1920 member of the CPSU(b), expelled for belonging to the Trotskyist opposition; by profession - metal turner. In 1935 he lived in Vladivostok, worked as chairman of the board of the Primorsky Regional Industrial Union; arrested on July 28, 1935, accused of “failing to take measures to control the activities of the Kulinar artel,” thereby giving the artel’s management the opportunity to establish privately owned retail outlets for selfish purposes <...> turning the artel into a false artel”; sentenced by the Primorsky Regional Court on May 24, 1936 to 3 years in prison; On 08/17/1936 the prosecutor's decision in this case was protested by the NKVD for the DVK, as a result of which for belonging to a Trotskyist organization he was sentenced by a resolution of the OS under the NKVD of the USSR on 09/21/1936 to 5 years in prison, counting the period from the date of the decision - from 03/10/1936, from absorption of the previous sentence. In 1938 – prisoner of Dalstroi; sentenced by the Troika UNKVD for Dalstroy on April 10, 1938 to VMN; executed on April 28, 1938. Rehabilitated by the verdict of 09/21/1936 by the Presidium of the Primorsky Regional Court on 05/05/1961; in the case of 1938 - in July 1961.
