Born in 1885 in sl. Trostyanka (Region of the Don Cossacks) in the family of a teacher. He graduated from the Ust-Medveditsk real school, and the mining department of the Don Polytechnic Institute. Member of the RSDLP since 1914. During the October Revolution - Chairman of the Revolutionary Committee of Novocherkassk. During the Civil War, he led the city's underground workers. Member of the I Congress of Soviets of the Don, member of the CEC of the Don Republic. In 1922-1924 - at the Communist Academy in Moscow. in 1928 - Chairman of the North Caucasian Regional Control Commission. Since 1932 - Chairman of the North Caucasian Regional Executive Committee, since 1934 in connection with a change in the administrative division - Chairman of the Azov-Chernomorsk Executive Committee. In 1935 he was awarded the Order of Lenin (No. 1819), with the wording "for outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture and for overfulfillment of state plans for agriculture." Arrested 06/11/1937; shot on December 19, 1937. Rehabilitated.
