Genus. in 1945 in Leningrad. Since 1956 he lived in Magnitogorsk. In 1961 he graduated from the Industrial College in Shymkent. After serving in the army, he lived in the village since 1967. Zhikharevo Leningrad region. In 1971-1977 studied at the evening department of English philology of the Faculty of Philology of Leningrad State University, worked in the Laboratory of Experimental Phonetics of Leningrad State University. In 1968, he appeared at the KGB and offered his services, was given the task of observing a colleague, but gave him a positive description. Having been brought in by the KGB as a witness, he testified in favor of the accused at the trial. In the spring of 1971, at a military training camp, he was searched and letters and a diary with reprehensible statements were confiscated. Subjected to a 10-hour conversation with KGB officers, put in a 10-day guardhouse. 05/27/1977 described what happened to him, renouncing his own statements to the KGB and making his story public. 06/14/1977 spoke at a press conference with a story about his story at the apartment of T.S. Khodorovich. 07/07/1977 expelled from the CPSU and dismissed from work. A year later he emigrated.
