On charges of espionage, he was sentenced by the Supreme Commissariat of the USSR Armed Forces on April 27, 1938 to VMN.
He was buried in Moscow at Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Military Commissariat of the USSR Armed Forces on August 6, 1955.
