Headed the Department of Electrochemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of Leningrad State University. Arrested on July 6, 1941, convicted on February 11, 1942. in absentia by a Special Meeting of the NKVD of the USSR under Article 58-10, Part 1 to 10 years of Correctional Labor. He was kept in Kansk, Krasnoyarsk region, worked in a sanitary laboratory, was engaged in chemical analysis and synthesis. In 1945 transferred to Krasnoyarsk, appointed senior research engineer, head of the physical and chemical laboratory of the Refinery. Released on July 6, 1951, he continued to work at the plant. 07/24/1951 arrested again and transferred to Kemerovo. Released to special settlement. In 1952-1953 worked as a chemistry and physics teacher. In 1953 elected by competition to the position of professor, head of the department of chemistry at the Kemerovo Mining Institute, where he worked until 07/01/1956. 02.11.1953 The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kemerovo region released him from a special settlement, with restrictions on the right to reside in cities in the European part of the USSR. Rehabilitated by the Supreme Court of the USSR on October 26, 1955. He returned to Leningrad in 1956 and was reinstated at Leningrad State University, where he organized and headed the laboratory of semiconductor chemistry. At the same time he worked as a senior researcher at the Vavilov State Optical Institute. He died in 1964 in a car accident.
