Pazukhin Evgeniy Alexandrovich

Genus. 09/07/1945 in Leningrad. He was raised by a Baptist grandmother. He studied at the Secondary Art School for three years, then at a comprehensive school together with V. Krivulin. In his youth, he wrote poetry and attended the literary club “Daring” at the Palace of Pioneers. In 1962 he participated in the publication of the typewritten collection “Lai”, in 1966 - the almanac “Links”; the poems were included in the collection of K. Kuzminsky and B. Taiga on “Anthology of Soviet Pathology” (1964). In 1971 he graduated from the Russian department of the Faculty of Philology of Leningrad State University (graduate work “The Life of Archpriest Avvakum - as a genre of confession”). For about 10 years he worked in the literary sector of the City Tour Bureau, then as a gas boiler operator. During his student years he received Orthodox baptism. In 1974–1980 he participated in the Religious and Philosophical Seminar of T. Goricheva. In 1975 he was a member of the editorial board of the collection “Mite” (he owns the name of the collection). He was at the origins of the magazine “37” (he was a member of the editorial board, and in 1980, together with V. Antonov, he headed the religious department). He published articles on cultural studies in the Obvodny Kanal magazine. In 1980-1985 he led the Seminar on the study of Orthodox tradition, in 1985-1888 - the Seminar on the history of the Russian Orthodox Church. In 1985 he made a presentation at the informal conference “Art of the 20th Century - Results and Prospects”, in 1986 he participated in the symposium “Ways of Culture of the 60-80s”, organized by Club-81. In 1988, together with B. Ivanov, he was among the organizers of the Society for Christian Education. In the same year, he wrote the book “Mirror of Glory,” dedicated to the religious revival in Russia (published in Italian). In 1989, as a representative of the Russian Christian movement, he made a lecture tour of Italy, Spain, England and Holland. In 1991 he became one of the founders of the St. Petersburg Foundation. V. S. Solovyova. Emigrated in 1991. He worked for Radio Liberty, sometimes for Deutsche Welle, and collaborated with the newspaper Russkaya Mysl. He published several cultural studies abroad and was published in the religious and philosophical magazine “Conversation”. Lives in Baden-Baden (Germany). He is working on the book “Russians in Baden-Baden”.
