Arapova (Trachtenberg) Maria Petrovna

Genus. in 1903 in St. Petersburg, from the nobility. Graduated from high school. She worked at a gramophone factory as a toolmaker. She knew two languages. Since 1932, she worked in the library of the Polytechnic Institute as a technician-archivist. B/p., lived in Leningrad at the address: Zagorodny pr. 22, apt. 37. Arrested on 10/02/1937 by the NKVD for the Leningrad Region in connection with the arrest of her husband. Charged under Art. 58-10 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR, as ChSIR. Convicted on 10/09/1937. OS under the NKVD of the USSR, imprisoned in the ITL (Narym) for a period of 5 years. While imprisoned in the Tomsk women's camp, from 1939 at the Yaya station in the Tomsk region, she worked in a garment factory making work clothes for the camps. Released in October 1942, deported to the Sverdlovsk region. In exile in Krasnoturinsk. She changed her husband’s surname to her maiden name, and also changed her son’s surname. 09/03/1956 rehabilitated by the Military Tribunal of the Leningrad Military District. Since 1957, she lived in Gatchina, worked as a registrar in a clinic, and then as a housekeeping manager at the Gatchina sanitary-epidemiological station. Retired in 1955. Died in 1985.
