Genus. in 1884 in the village of Rakishki, Novoaleksandrovsky district, Kovno province; Jew: Social Democrat, member of the Bund; engaged in handicraft tin production. In 1923 he lived in Moscow; arrested 05/07/1923; sentenced by the NKVD Commission on Administrative Expulsions on 06/08/1923 to 2 years in prison (according to other sources, he was imprisoned in the Pertominsky political detention center). By resolution of the OS KOGPU on June 10, 1925, he was sentenced to deportation for 3 years (exiled to Kozmodemyansk); 06/08/1928 deprived of the right to reside in cities with universities with attachment to a specific place of residence for 3 years. In 1930 he lived in Stalingrad, worked as a coppersmith in the garage of the Soyuztrans office. Arrested 09/18/1930; sentenced by the OS KOGPU on 06/05/1931 to deprivation of the right to reside in 12 cities with attachment to a specific place of residence for 3 years. Rehabilitated on May 30, 1989, also by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation on June 10, 1996.
