Genus. in 1886 in Dvinsk, Vitebsk province; Jew; higher education: graduated from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg University; member of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the RSDLP(M), member of the Bund. In 1921 he was arrested twice, released at the request of fellow scientists (Lunacharsky, Pokrovsky, Volgin, Lukin). In 1923 he lived in Moscow, professor of political economy and history of political economy at the 1st Moscow State University and at the Institute of Red Professors; arrested in February 1923, held in Butyrka prison; sentenced in April 1923 to 3 years of imprisonment in the Arkhangelsk concentration camp, then transferred to the Suzdal political isolation ward, then again to the Butyrka prison. In 1924 he was sent into exile in Crimea; released 11/26/1926. In 1926–1930 he worked at the Institute of K. Marx and F. Engels. In 1930 he lived in Moscow, worked at the Moscow Economic Insurance Fund; arrested 12/23/1930 – defendant in the case of the “Union Menshevik Bureau”; sentenced on 03/09/1931 to 5 years in prison and 2 years of disqualification; in the spring and summer of 1931 he was in the Verkhneuralsk political isolation ward. When the KOGPU case was reviewed on September 22, 1933, the conclusion was replaced by exile to Turgai for the remaining term, then to Aktyubinsk for 3 years. In 1937 he lived in Aktobe, worked as an economist in the Aktobe Regional Consumer Union; arrested 11/19/1937; sentenced by the Troika UNKVD in the Aktobe region on November 25, 1937 to VMN; executed on November 27, 1937 (according to other sources – November 25, 1937). Rehabilitated in the 1937 case by the Aktobe regional prosecutor's office on May 31, 1989.
