Genus. in 1882 in Moscow; incomplete higher education: historical and philological; member of the RSDLP since 1901, since 1903 – member of the Menshevik group of Yu.O. Martov “Unity”. In 1919–1920 he lived in Moscow, worked in the Central Union, in 1920–1921 - in the Moscow representative office of the Vologda Forestry Cooperative Union. In October 1920 he was put on trial for insulting the highest judicial institutions; acquitted. In 1923 he worked as the head (or deputy chairman of the board) of Vsekooples; arrested 02/29/1923; sentenced by the NKVD on July 20, 1923 to deportation for 2 years. Arrested 03/10/1924; sentenced by the OS KOGPU on July 4, 1924 to deportation to the Urals for 3 years, served in the city of Kamyshlov, Perm province and in Sverdlovsk. In August 1927 he was released under an amnesty and moved to Tula. In 1931 he lived in Moscow, assistant editor of the department of literature, art and linguistics of the TSB; arrested on 01/11/1931 (according to other sources - 02/02/1931) in the case of the “Union Bureau of the RSDLP(m);; defendant in the “14” trial; 1931; sentenced by the special judicial presence of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 03/09/1931 under Art. 58-4 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 8 years of labor camp and 3 years of disqualification. He served in the Verkhneuralsk, Yaroslavl political isolation wards and the Oryol prison. Released on 02/11/1939. In the 1940s - bibliographer of the Fundamental Library of Social Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences, employee of the All-Union State Library of Foreign Literature. Arrested again on June 14, 1951; sentenced by the OS under the USSR MGB on September 12, 1951 under Art. 58-10 part 1, 182 part 1 5 years of correctional labor camp, served in Bratsk, Irkutsk region, released under Article 1 of the Decree of July 27, 1953 from Special Camp No. 7 of the Irkutsk Region on June 16, 1953. He died on December 29, 1956, and was buried in Moscow at the Vvedenskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated in the 1923 case by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office in September 1990; for cases of 1924 and 1951 in 1990; in the 1931 case – 03/13/1991.
