Genus. in 1876 in the town of Sventsyany, Vilna province; Jewish; from the bourgeoisie; incomplete higher education; member of the RSDLP(M) since 1899. She was arrested in 1901, 1913, 1915. She was in exile in Yakutsk for 2 years, escaped, and was also in exile in 1913 and 1915. Since 1912 member of the OK RSDLP. From 1917 to emigration, member of the Central Committee of the RSDLP, from 1920 member of the Foreign Delegation, employee of the Socialist Messenger magazine. In November 1927, she came to the USSR illegally, traveled around the country, visited the Mensheviks in exile: Sormovo, Kharkov, Kyiv. Arrested on April 22, 1928 (according to one version, in Baku, according to another, on the way back on the train), transported to Moscow. Sentenced by the Kogpu on June 28, 1928 to 3 years, she was in the Suzdal political isolation ward. Sentenced by the Kogpu on April 10, 1931 to 3 years of exile. In exile in Tashkent, she was again sentenced by the Kogpu on May 5, 1934 to 3 years of exile. Arrested in Tashkent in 1935. Sentenced by resolution of the NKVD OS of November 28, 1935 to 5 years of exile. In exile in Oirot-Tur. Arrested on July 4, 1937, transported to Moscow. VT MVO was sentenced on March 21, 1939 to 20 years in prison + 5 years of disqualification. In custody in the Oryol prison. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on November 8, 1941 to military service. Shot on November 11, 1941. By the resolution of the Prosecutor's Office of the Uzbek SSR dated January 14, 1959, the resolution of the OS under the NKVD of the USSR dated November 28, 1935 was left in force. Rehabilitated in the 1935 case by the judicial panel of the Supreme Court of the Uzbek SSR on July 20, 1965. On April 13, 2001, the criminal case against E.L. Broido was sent to the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation to verify the validity of her conviction.
