Genus. in 1905 in the city of Bialystok, Grodno province; Jew; member of the RSDLP(M) from 1921. In 1915–1918 in Nizhny Novgorod. In 1923 he lived in Moscow, a student at the Prechistensky Practical Institute; arrested 08/24/1923; sentenced by the NKVD Commission on Administrative Expulsions on September 28, 1923 to deportation to the Narym Territory for 3 years (according to other sources, for 2 years). On 10/12/1923 the place of exile was changed to Pechora. Arrested 05/01/1924; sentenced by the OS KOGPU on 08/01/1924 to 2 years SLON, then transferred to the Verkhneuralsk political isolation ward. 07/31/1926 sentenced to deportation after serving his term to Central Asia (Ashgabat) for 3 years; While in exile, he published several works on the history of Turkmenistan. According to the definition of the OS OGPU dated December 19, 1929, after serving the term, residence is allowed in 6 points (according to the list). In 1930 he lived in Tashkent; arrested 06/16/1930; sentenced by OSO KOGPU 09/08/1930 under Art. 58-11 to 3 years of imprisonment: in 1930–1931 in Verkhneuralsk, then in Suzdal political isolation wards. On September 12, 1931, by a resolution of the OSO KOGPU, the conclusion was replaced by a link to 3 years in the city of Jizzakh; released 09/13/1934. In 1934–1935 he lived in Moscow; in 1935 he was expelled from Moscow, in 1941 he lived in Kalinin; arrested in 1941, sentenced under Art. 58-10 part 1 to 5 years of labor camp; served in Ivdellag. In 1948 he lived in Kalinin, worked as chief accountant of the regional philharmonic society; arrested 12/04/1948; sentenced by the Special Investigation Department of the USSR Ministry of State Security under Art. 58, paragraph 10, part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFS 01/20/1949 for deportation to a settlement in the village. Motygino, Udereisky district, Krasnoyarsk Territory. Since March 1949 he lived in the village of Usovo, Udereysky district; in 1953 he lived in the Ishimba camp in the Udereysky district; released in 1954. After his release, he lived in Moscow and worked as chief accountant at the Ararat wine trust. He was engaged in research of the youth social democratic movement in Russia after 1917; published in the collection “Memory” (YMCA-Press), “The Past” (Atheneum) under pseudonyms; took part in music publications. He died in 1987. He was buried at the Vagankovskoye cemetery. Rehabilitated in the 1931 case by the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation on December 28, 1993; in the case of 1948 - by the Presidium of the Kalinin Regional Court on 03/06/1959.
