Born in 1871 in the village of Ostgeim, Taganrog District. Graduated from the medical faculty of Kharkov University in 1899. In 1908, he defended his doctoral dissertation. From 1925, he became head of the department of faculty surgery at Kharkov University. Arrested in 1937 and imprisoned in Kraslag. He died between 1946 and 1949 in Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Krai.
