Genus. in 1895 in Kyiv; Lithuanian. He received his initial art education in Kyiv. In 1915 he was drafted into the army. In 1917, he took part in the civil war in Siberia. From 1920 to 1924 he carried out organizational and artistic work in Irkutsk. In 1924 he entered the polygraph department of the Moscow Higher Art and Art Institute, from which he graduated in 1929. After graduation, he worked on the artistic design of books and was an assistant at the Polygraph Institute. Arrested 11/02/1936. Sentenced by OSO under the NKVD of the USSR on 02/02/1937 under Art. KRD by 5 years of ITL. He served his sentence in Vorkuta. 02/01/1940 left for Usollag. 11/13/1944 died in Usollag from tuberculosis. He was buried in the cemetery of the village of Volim, Cherdynsky district, Molotov region (now Perm region). Rehabilitated on November 15, 1989 by the Moscow Prosecutor's Office.
07/09/2017 in Moscow at house No. 7 on Yakovoapostolsky (formerly Yakovlevsky) lane in memory of Bigos S.D. A personal memorial sign was installed as part of the "Last Address" project.
