Genus. in 1881 in the village of Kontorskoye, Tinsky volost, Kansky district, Yenisei province, in the family of a priest; Russian; higher education; graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Theological Seminary (1902) and the St. Petersburg Theological Academy (1912). In 1912–1922 he served as rector of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross at the Holy Cross community of sisters of mercy; in 1923 he was appointed confessor, accepting repentance from the Renovationists. He was arrested in 1924. In 1926 he lived in Leningrad, unemployed; arrested 01/08/1926; was accused of “having a typewriter in his apartment and retyping, on behalf of the Council of Bishops, various brochures with attacks on Soviet power”; sentenced by the OS KOGPU on April 29, 1926 to deportation to Kazakhstan for 3 years. Until 1930 he was in exile in Karakalpakia, in 1930 he returned to Leningrad. In 1930–1932 - archpriest in Novgorod; in 1932 he again lived in Leningrad, but mostly did not serve. Died of hunger on January 6, 1942 in Leningrad. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad Prosecutor's Office on October 24, 1991.
