Born 12.08.1875 in St. Petersburg, Russian, graduated from the Pedagogical Institute. From 1898 in the army: chief of a machine-gun team, company and battalion commander. Studied at the General Staff Academy, expelled in 1907 for political unreliability. In 1909 he was arrested and held in custody in the Peter and Paul Fortress for 3 weeks for his brother's participation in a military alliance. Participant in World War I, major general. From 1918 in the Red Army, teacher at the First Soviet military courses and infantry school. From 1930 teacher of courses in tactics, military topography and air defense at various universities, including the Leningrad Industrial Institute. Lived in Leningrad (Pushkinskaya St., Bldg. 1/77, Apt. 20). Arrested 03/07/1935; was sentenced by the Resolution of the General Assembly under the NKVD of the USSR on 09.03.1935 to exile to Astrakhan with his family for 5 years. By the Resolution of the General Assembly under the NKVD of the USSR on 13.01.1936 the exile order was cancelled. He returned to Leningrad and was reinstated at his job at the Flight Research Institute. He was arrested again on 09.10.1937. He was sentenced by the Resolution of the NKVD Commission and the Prosecutor of the USSR on 11.12.1937 under Article 58-6-8-10-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was executed on 20.12.1937. He was rehabilitated by the Leningrad Military District on 02.06.1958.
