Totmyanin Erik Mikhailovich
Chairman of the Leningrad Society of the Deaf and Dumb (1937).
Born in 1901 in Perm in a priest's family; Zyryanin; deaf; secondary specialized education, artist-sculptor; member of the All-Union Communist Party (bolsheviks) in 1919-1937. Chairman of the Leningrad Regional Department of the All-Russian Society of the Deaf. Lived in Leningrad, Maklina Ave., Bldg. 11, Apt. 17. Arrested on 01.11.1937, accused of participating in an anti-Soviet fascist terrorist organization created among the deaf-mute people of Leningrad . Sentenced By a special troika of the Leningrad Regional Directorate of the NKVD on 19.12.1937 under Articles 17-58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was shot in Leningrad on 24.12.1937. He was rehabilitated by the decision of the Leningrad Military District Military District on 06.12.1955.
