Pogorzhelskaya Elena Fedorovna
Chairman of the Factory Committee of the Savelyev Factory
Born in 1893 in Kronstadt; member of the Society of the Deaf-Mutes; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) from 1921 to 1937. Chairman of the factory committee and foreman of the Savelyev sewing factory. Lived in Leningrad, 17th line of V.O., building 16, apt. 23. Arrested on November 1, 1937. Charged under Articles 58-8 and 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR with participating in an anti-Soviet fascist terrorist organization created among the deaf-mutes of Leningrad. Sentenced on December 19, 1937 by the Special Troika of the Leningrad Regional Directorate of the NKVD to capital punishment. Shot in Leningrad on December 24, 1937. Rehabilitated by the Leningrad Military District Military District on December 6, 1955.
