Born in 1871   v. Novaya Ergi, Cherepovets district, Petrinevskaya volost, Novgorod province; graduated from the Novgorod Theological Seminary in 1892. Lived in Petrograd. Priest. Arrested in April 1922, accused of "distributing appeals of Metropolitan Veniamin, but without the intent to harm Soviet power." Sentenced on 07/05/1922 by the Petrograd Provincial Revolutionary Tribunal under Art. 73, part 2 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 2 months of forced labor without detention. Arrested on 02/21/1936. Sentenced on 10/01/1936 to 5 years in a labor camp. Died in the camp on 04/20/1937. Rehabilitated by the Presidium of the Supreme Court of the RSFSR on 31 October 1990 in the 1922 case.
