Born in 1892 in the village of Efimovo, Ustyuzhinsky district, Novgorod province; graduated from the Petrograd Theological Academy in 1916, candidate of theology. In 1918-1920 - priest, served at the Kazan Cathedral, 1920-1922 - archpriest, sacristan of St. Isaac's Cathedral. Lived in Petrograd, Novy per., bldg. 5, apt. 28. Arrested on 09.09.1922 by the Petrograd provincial department of the OGPU. Sentenced on 15.09.1922 on charges of "anti-Soviet activity" to 3 years of exile in the Ural province. Rehabilitated by the Prosecutor's Office of St. Petersburg on 16.04.1999.
