RESOLUTION (on the selection of a preventive measure)

City of Novosibirsk, September 13, 1939.

I, Head of the 2nd Department of the 3rd Department of the UGB NKVD for the Novosibirsk Region - GOLOVIN , having examined the investigative materials regarding citizen DEYEV Tikhon Sergeevich, 55 years old, Russian, citizen of the USSR, no pension, literate, native of the village of Sukhoi Log, Zyryansky District, a migrant worker, currently residing in the village of Cheremoshniki, Tomsk District, pensioner,

FOUND:

That DEEV is suspected of crimes under Articles 19-58, paragraph 8 and 58, paragraph 11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR and taking into account that DEEV, while at large, may hide from the investigation and trial and continue his counter-revolutionary activities.

Guided by Articles 145 and 158 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR, -

RESOLVED:

As a measure of prevention of methods of evading investigation and trial for Tikhon Sergeyevich DEEV, detention in custody shall be chosen, about which, in accordance with Article 146 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR, the arrested person shall be notified against a receipt in this resolution.

In accordance with Article 160 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the RSFSR, a copy of the order shall be sent to the prosecutor and transferred to the head of the prison for inclusion in the prison’s personal file.

RESOLUTION

(On extending the investigation period).

City of Novosibirsk, November 13, 1939

I, Senior Officer of the Prokopyevsk City NKVD – Junior Lieutenant of State Security TYULKOV, having examined investigative case No. 74 on charges against Tikhon Sergeevich DEYEV, Semyon Sergeevich DEYEV, Pavel Alekseevich BAUKOV and others, accused of a crime under Articles 19-58-2, 58-10, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR,

FOUND

DEEV Tikhon Sergeevich, born in 1879, native of the village of Bogoslovka, Zyryanovsky district, Novosibirsk region, from the kulaks, a labor migrant. In 1919-1922 he served in Kolchak's punitive detachment.

Arrested on September 13, 1939, charged under Articles 19-58-2, 58-10-11 of the Criminal Code on September 25, 1939.

On the merits of the charges brought against him, he was questioned 4 times: 15/IX, 18/IX, 14/X,

As a participant in a counter-revolutionary rebel group, he did not admit guilt, but admitted that at the time of his recruitment into the organization, DEEV took on the obligation to provide all possible assistance to the rebel organization at the time of its action.

Convicted by the testimony and confrontation of BAUKOV P.A., the testimony of DEYEV S.S.

Taking into account that the investigation period expires on November 13, 1939, the following must be done: conduct a confrontation between DEYEVA T.S. and DEYEV S.S.

Interrogate 2-3 witnesses who know about the counter-revolutionary activities of DEEVA T.S. Conduct confrontations with them.

And therefore, guided by Article 116 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the RSFSR,

DECIDED

File a petition with the Military Prosecutor of the Siberian Military District to extend the investigation period and to detain the accused Tikhon Sergeyevich DEYEV for a period of 20 days, i.e. until December 1, 1939.
