Krotov Yakov Romanovich
An employee of the NKVD-MVD in 1935-1954, an active participant in the repressions in 1937-38 in the Taiginsky district of the Novosibirsk region.
Born in 1907 in a family of middle peasants. Place of birth - Sredny Talovka. From 1918 to 1930 - worked in his own private farm. From 1930-1933 - in the Red Army. From 1933 to 1934 - in the "Put Lenina" collective farm (Sredny Talovka). From 1934 to 1935 - assistant foreman in a bakery in the city of Tayga. From 1935 to 1939 - authorized inspector of the Tayginsky ROM NKVD, an active participant in the repressions. It was he who directly carried out more arrests and searches than anyone else in his native Talovsky village council. He was fierce, turned out the peasants' huts, threw away children when they rushed to their fathers. People were terrified by his name, because "Krotov has arrived" meant only one thing - someone's death. From 1943 to 1946 - chief of the district police department of the NKVD in the village of Kozhevnikovo. From 1946 to 1950 - chief of the district police department of the NKVD in the village of Asino, Tomsk Region. From 1950 to 1952 - chief of the district police department of the MGB in the village of Pyshkino-Troitskoye, Tomsk Region. From 1952 - chief of the village police department of the settlement of Moryakovka, Tomsk Region. In 1954 - captain of police. Awarded: medals "For the victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War in 1941-1945" "For military merit" "For valiant labor in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" He was not at the front for a single day. Until 1942, he did not study anywhere - self-taught, in 1949 he finished seven years of school in the village of Asino, Tomsk region.
