Myagkova's mother, about her admiration for her mother, who managed to organize a Christmas tree for the children and buy them presents; about her concern that her mother denies herself everything and doesn't take care of herself; about her gratitude for the things her mother bought her "for the future" and that there is no need to send them yet; about her husband, who most of all needs food now, and instead of gifts - photographs of relatives; about the endless mending of her clothes and underwear; about a letter from her daughter, who accidentally learned of her mother's move, and not of her return home, despite her anticipation; about her resentment and her request to explain everything honestly, like an adult, frankly; about her response to her daughter and the need to talk to her daughter and prepare her for a break in correspondence and for the fact that her mother may be far away.
