Voronsky Alexander Konstantinovich
Writer, literary critic, publicist, member of the Union of Soviet Writers
Born in 1884 in the village of Khoroshovka (town of Dobinka) , Kirsanovsky district , Tambov province; Russian; son of a priest; secondary education; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) (expelled in 1929, reinstated in 1930). Writer, literary critic, publicist, member of the Union of Soviet Writers. Served his exile in Lipetsk in 1929-1930. Lived in Moscow, Serafimovich Street, Bldg. 2 (Government House), Apt. 357. Arrested on February 1, 1937. Sentenced to capital punishment by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on August 13, 1937 on charges of participating in an anti-Soviet terrorist organization. He was executed on August 13, 1937 in Moscow; burial place is Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the USSR Armed Forces on February 7, 1957.
