Tarasov-Rodionov Alexander Ignatievich
Prose writer
Born in 1885 in Astrakhan; Russian; higher education - law faculty of Kazan University (1908) ; member of the All-Union Communist Party (bolsheviks) since 1905. He took an active part in the February and October Revolutions. In 1918 - investigator of the Investigative Commission under the Petrograd Soviet of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies, commander of the Consolidated Baltic Division (1919). He made his literary debut with the work "Chocolate" (1922). He was a member of the literary group "Kuznitsa", was one of the organizers of the "October" group (1922), then - RAPP. Lived in Moscow, Spasopeskovsky per., bldg. 3/1, apt. 8. On 04/27/1938 he was arrested on charges of espionage. Sentenced to capital punishment on September 3, 1938 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR , and executed in Moscow on the same day. Burial place: Kommunarka. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on September 8, 1956.
