Academician, head of the Central Asian Expedition of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Lived in Moscow, Stanislavsky St., Bldg. 9, Apt. 7. Arrested on 19.02.1938. Sentenced by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the USSR on 7.09.1938 on charges of espionage. Shot on 7.09.1938. Rehabilitated on 13.03.1954.
