Genus. in 1884. After graduating from the Higher Women's Courses, she was left at the Department of New and Contemporary History of the Faculty of History and Philology of the University of Peturburg. In 1911, she received a scientific trip to Paris to work at the National Archives of France, where she spent 8 months studying the history of the peasantry during the French Revolution. In 1921 she remained at the university. Participant of the informal scientific circle N.I. Kareev (1922-1923) and the “circle of young historians” (1921-1925). In 1912-1918. taught history in the courses of P.F. Lesgaft and in other educational institutions. In 1924-1925 She taught for a short time at Leningrad State University. In the first half of the 1920s. worked in the Main Archive, in 1929 - Art. Researcher at the Central Bureau of Local History. In 1929 she was arrested. Sentenced to 5 years for the "Academic Case". After 2 years of camp, she was sent to the Cherevkovsky district of the Northern Territory, where she worked as an office worker. In 1934 she returned to Leningrad, and from 1935 she worked as a scientific proofreader for the publishing house of the Academy of Sciences and as a librarian at the BAS.
