Born in Kharkov. In 1902 he graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Moscow University and was left at the Department of Ancient History. Participated as a volunteer in the war of 1914-1917. In Soviet Russia he taught German and Latin. Finding himself in territory occupied by the Germans in 1941, he and his family left Russia. From 1945 to 1947 was in a displaced persons camp (DP) in Germany. In October 1947 he moved to Paris, where he died. The collection “The Spiritual World of D. P. Konchalovsky” was published (Paris, 1977. 179 pp.). Works: “The Paths of Russia” (Paris, 1969. 259 pp.); “From Humanism to Christ” (Paris, 1971. 350 pp.).
