Genus. 07/3/1937 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR; Armenian. Student of the Pedagogical College. Arrested 07/11/1968. Sentenced by the Supreme Court of the Armenian SSR on January 3, 1969 under Article 65 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of the Armenian SSR to 3 years in prison. He served his sentence in Dubravlaga. Member of the Armenian national movement. One of the leaders of the underground group "Armenian Liberation Union", secretary of the "National United Party", member of the Armenian Helsinki Group. In 1977, he was convicted in Yerevan on trumped-up criminal charges to 3 years in prison. In the camp he took part in protests. In 1985 he emigrated to the USA.
