Romov Yakov Isaakovich (Itskovich)

Genus. in 1902 in Vinnitsa; Jew; higher education; member of the Odessa SSDRP. In 1923 he was arrested in Odessa. After 1925 in a political prison. In 1933 he lived in Tomsk, taught at the Flour-Elevator Institute (acting associate professor); sentenced on 06/02/1933 under Article 19 (accused of belonging to the “Union for the Salvation of Russia”) to exile with attachment to the city of Minusinsk CC. In 1933–1937 “minus” in Saratov; arrested 06/01/1937; sentenced by the OS NKVD of the USSR on December 3, 1937 to 8 years in labor camp (according to the St. Krasnoyarsk “Memorial” - to 5 years in labor camp). Until 1946 he was in the camps of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. Since 1946 in exile in Syktyvkar. Arrested and sentenced by the OS MGB of the USSR on 12/02/1950 (according to other sources, in 1949) to exile in the North Kazakhstan region. Released in 1954, he remained to live in Kazakhstan. Rehabilitated in the 1933 case in June 1961; in the case of 1937 - by the Presidium of the Saratov Regional Court on June 24, 1957.
