Genus. in 1886 (1887?) in Rostov-on-Don; Jew; from the bourgeoisie; higher education: graduated from the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg University; Social Democrat since 1903; Member of the Central Committee of the RSDLP(M). Participated in the unification congress of the party in August 1917. In 1921 he lived in Moscow; arrested 02/25/1921 and 11/07/1921. In 1922 he lived in Moscow, chairman of the board of Mosselprom; arrested 07/03/1922, kept in Yaroslavl prison; sentenced by the GPU Collegium on July 31, 1922 “as an anti-Soviet element” to administrative deportation abroad with deprivation of the right to return to the RSFSR with “permission for 2 months of treatment in the Caucasus.” Until 1933 he lived in Germany, then in France, from 1940 he lived in Canada, collaborated in the communist press of Canada. Died in New York on February 10, 1954. Rehabilitated in 1998.
