An activist in the cooperative movement in the pre-revolutionary years, a participant in pre-revolutionary meetings of workers' organizations. 02/27/1917 became a member of the temporary Executive Committee of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies. then elected to the Executive Committee of the Petrosoviet and became its secretary. In 1930 he lived in Moscow; arrested 08/13/1930; sentenced by the KOGPU on April 25, 1931 in the case of the "Union Bureau of the Mensheviks" to 5 years in prison with confiscation of property; 09/07/1932 the case was reviewed, he was released from custody with deprivation of the right to reside in 12 sensitive cities for 3 years with attachment to a specific place of residence. Rehabilitated 07/30/1990.
