Born in 1890 in Courland Province, locality: Gustavsberg; Latvian; secondary education; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks); head of the Intelligence Directorate of the Red Army, army commissar of the 2nd rank. Lived in Moscow, Serafimovich Street, Building 2 (Government House), Apt. 177. Arrested on November 28, 1937. Sentenced by the Military Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR on July 29, 1938 on charges of participating in a counter-revolutionary terrorist organization to capital punishment. Executed on July 29, 1938. Place of burial: Moscow Region, Kommunarka. Rehabilitated in July 1956 by the Military Commission of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR.
