Former staff captain of the 28th Artillery Brigade, promoted to officer in 1913. Participant in the First World War from its beginning until May 1, 1917. Seconded to the Mikhailovsky Artillery School. In December 1917 he was assigned to the Main Artillery Directorate. In April 1918 he was invited to the position of teacher at the 1st Soviet Artillery Command Course. Arrested on July 11, 1918 by the Extraordinary Commission of the Petrograd Council of Workers' and Soldiers' Deputies to combat counter-revolution and speculation in the case of a conspiracy at the Mikhailovsky Artillery School. By resolution of the PetroChka of August 19, 1918, he was sentenced to death.
