Born in 1899 in the Barklany estate in Ponevezh district, Kovno province; Latvian; member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1919. In the Cheka-OGPU-NKVD since 1920. Arrested on 22.05.1938. Before his arrest, he was the head of the 3rd department of the Samara corrective labor camp of the NKVD. Sentenced by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 04.03.1939 under Articles 58-8, 58-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to capital punishment. He was executed on 04.03.1939 in Moscow. Rehabilitated by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on 25.03.1958.
