Deputy People's Commissar for Foreign Affairs of the USSR, Plenipotentiary Representative of the USSR in Turkey. Lived in Moscow, Malaya Nikitskaya St., Bldg. 28. Arrested on May 3, 1937. Sentenced to capital punishment on September 20, 1937 by the Military Collegium of the Supreme Court of the USSR on charges of participating in an anti-Soviet conspiracy. Shot on September 20, 1937 in Moscow, burial place - Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated by the Military Commission of the Supreme Court of the USSR on December 12, 1956.
