Kolnenbrun, Wittenheim-Sussey volost, Illukst district, Courland province; Latvian; from peasants; member of the RCP(b)–VKP(b) since 1919; education: in 1917 he graduated from the Gatchina wartime warrant officer school, in 1926 - the main faculty, and in 1931 - the special faculty of the Military Academy. M.V. Frunze. In the army from October 1917, in February 1917 - ensign, in March 1917 demoted to private, in the Red Army from 1918, mainly in political and economic positions. From May 1931 to July 1937 - Chief of the Leningrad Military District Headquarters, from July to September 1937 - at the disposal of the Command Staff Directorate of the Red Army; arrested 09/27/1937; sentenced on October 17, 1939 to 10 years in prison. Served in Butyrka prison, from 1940 - in the Ostekhburo at Butyrka prison, from October 1941 in ITL No. 35 and 12 UNKVD of the Saratov region, from August 1943 - head of the tactical and technical group in OKB-172 in Molotov and Leningrad, from April 1949 – in Vorkutlag on general work. Rehabilitated 11/05/1955. He died on January 15, 1963 in Leningrad, and was buried in the cemetery “In Memory of the Victims of January 9.”
