Deineka Boris Stepanovich

Definition: Opera singer, bass, soloist of the All-Union Radio, People's Artist of the Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.

Arrested in 1941, convicted under Art. 58 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR for 10 years in prison. Sent to Vorkuta, he was involved in work in the musical and drama theater. After serving his prison term and being released in 1953, he moved to Syktyvkar, where he became one of the initiators of the creation of a local musical theater. From 1958 until his retirement in 1962, he was the artistic director of the current State Opera and Ballet Theater of the Komi Republic.
