Born in 1889 in Novgorod; Russian; higher education: graduated from the law faculty of Leningrad University and 3 courses of the Academy of Arts. Participant in the First World War and the Civil War. In 1918-1921 - actor in the Goznak theater; in 1921-1922 - in the Petrozavodsk theater; in 1922-1923 - in the provincial show theater of the city of Vitebsk; in 1923-1924 - in the Smolensk theater; in 1924 - in the Yalta theater; in 1924-1925 - in the theaters of Kharkov; in 1925 - again in Petrozavodsk; in 1927-1929 - actor and director of the Krasnodar Drama and Comedy Theater; in 1934-1935 - actor of the Dnepropetrovsk Russian Theater named after M. Gorky; Since 1936 – actor of the Crimean State Drama Theater named after M. Gorky; in 1942-1944 – director and chief director of the Crimean State Drama Theater named after M. Gorky. Arrested on 13.07.1944 by the NKGB Directorate of the Odessa Region. Sentenced by the OS NKVD of the USSR on 25.11.1944 under Art. 58-3 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 8 years in a labor camp. Arrived at the camp in the Komi ASSR on 20.12.1945 from Vologda; according to some sources, in 1946 he was transferred to Vorkuta, to the city theater, in 1946-1956 – actor, artist and director of the Vorkuta Musical and Drama Theater. Released on 25.08.1951 after serving his term, taking into account working days. Departed for the city of Vorkuta. In 1957, he moved to Leningrad. He died in Leningrad, at the House of Stage Veterans, on October 7, 1963. He was rehabilitated by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea on March 3, 1994.

According to my sister's recollections:
Born in 1889 in St. Petersburg, the son of a lawyer. Graduated with honors from the 6th classical gymnasium. Entered the Repin Academy of Arts and the acting and directing department of the art school. Participant in World War I, then the Civil War. From 1921, he worked at the Pushkin Theater in Petrograd. The outbreak of war found the theater troupe in Yalta, occupied by German troops in November 1941. After the liberation of Yalta in 1944, he was arrested and sentenced to 12 years in a labor camp. He was imprisoned in the Vorkuta labor camp. After rehabilitation, he returned to Leningrad.
