Genus. in 1893. Studied at the Kharkov Art Institute and the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris. Since 1914 he worked as an artist in Petrograd theaters. Since 1926 he worked at the Lenfilm studio. Arrested 03/24/1937. On 05/18/1938 he was sentenced to 10 years in labor camp followed by disqualification for five years. He served his sentence in Kolyma. He worked as an artist at the Magadan Music and Drama Theater named after M. Gorky. Released on December 14, 1943.
