Richter Gertrude Friedrichovna
Genus. 11/19/1899 in Magdeburg (Germany). She studied at the universities of Berlin and Frankfurt am Main. She received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy, the title of associate professor of German literature and linguistics, and a diploma in music teaching. She worked as a teacher and was a member of the International League for Freedom and Peace. Since 1930 - member of the Communist Party of Germany. In 1932-1934 - Secretary of the Union of Revolutionary Writers of Germany. In the spring of 1934 she arrived in Moscow. She continued teaching and teaching activities. On November 3, 1936 she received Soviet citizenship. Arrested 11/04/1936. Sentenced to 5 years in labor camp on charges of KTRD. In custody in Kolyma since August 17, 1938. Released on September 14, 1946. Since 10/15/1946, a cloakroom attendant at the Magadan Music and Drama Theater named after. M. Gorky. 08/23/1949 arrested again and exiled to the village. Ust-Omchug, worked as a foreign language teacher and pianist in the village club. Rehabilitated (1956) and reinstated in the party. She left for the GDR. She died in 1989.
