Definition: Russian revolutionary, Soviet military leader, member of the left opposition.

Born in 1877 in Taganrog. Russian, higher education (?). Member of the RSDLP, participant in the December uprising of 1905. After the revolution, he participated in the organization of the Moscow Council of Soldiers' Deputies. In 1924 he was appointed commander of the troops of the North Caucasus Military District. Member of the Central Control Commission of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) since 1925. In December 1927, he was expelled from the party for speaking against violations of intra-party democracy. In December 1935 and January 1936, he wrote two letters to J.V. Stalin, declaring a break with the Trotskyists and asking for reinstatement in the party.Arrested April 18, 1936.
Sentenced: by the USSR High Command on January 30, 1937, accused of organizing a parallel anti-Soviet Trotskyist center and leading sabotage, sabotage, espionage and terrorist activities.
Shot on February 1, 1937 Place of burial - burial place - Moscow, Donskoye Cemetery. Rehabilitated on April 17, 1986 by the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the USSR.
