Genus. in 1948 in Zhitomir. In 1967-1973 studied at the Faculty of Chemistry of Leningrad State University. Since 1973, he worked at the Physico-Technical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences named after. A.F. Ioffe. Candidate of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher. At the end of 1970, together with M. Abdulakhatov, A. Gorbachev and V. Tarasov, he published 2 issues of the samizdat literary magazine “amegoB”. In 1972, together with S. Dedyulin, he published the magazine “LOB”. As an appendix to the magazine, he prepared collections dedicated to V. Küchelbecker and N. Zabolotsky. In 1970, he compiled a typewritten collection of works by N.S. Gumilyov and began the systematic collection of biographical, bibliographic and iconographic materials about the poet. In the summer of 1989, he took a decisive part in organizing the installation of the first memorial plaque to N.S. Gumilyov at house number 7 on Preobrazhenskaya Street, where the poet’s last apartment was.Since 1995, he worked in Ensenada (Mexico) as a leading researcher at the Catalysis Laboratory at the Center for the Study of Condensed Matter Physics. Full member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences (since 2000)
