Smotkin Peisakh Khatskelevich
Mechanical technician
Born in 1907 in Sirotino, Polotsk district, Vitebsk province; higher education. Worked as a technician-mechanic at plant #189. Lived in Leningrad. Arrested on 05.02.1938. Sentenced on 21.06.1938 by the OS NKVD of the USSR under Art. 58-10,11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to 8 years of imprisonment. In custody in the OTB (Leningrad, "Kresty"). Released in February 1946, sent to Molotovsk. After exile, returned to Leningrad. Worked as a freelance employee of OKB-172 (Leningrad, "Kresty"). Arrested again on 03/04/1949. Sentenced on 06/08/1949 by the OS MGB USSR under Art. 58-10 part 1, 59-11 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR to exile to a settlement in Krasnoyarsk Krai. Rehabilitated by the determination of the Judicial Collegium for Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court of the USSR dated 09/28/1955.
