In 1968, he signed letters in defense of the defendants Galanskov, Ginzburg and others, with a proposal to ratify the UN Covenants on Political and Economic Human Rights, with a request for a review of the court decision in the case of demonstrators on Red Square and in defense of the right of the Crimean Tatars to return to Crimea. He was subjected to work at a factory trade union and expelled from graduate school. In 1969-1970 wrote and submitted to samizdat “Essays on a Growing Ideology” under the pseudonym K. Burzhuademov (published in 1970 in Munich) In 1968-1972. reprinted and distributed “XTS” (Nos. 2-27). In 1973, during interrogations in the case of Yakir and Krasin in the Lefortovo pre-trial detention center, he refused to testify, for which he was sentenced to 6 months. corrected works In 1977, he took part in the discussion of the Constitution, sending his proposals to L. Brezhnev and A. Sakharov (published in the samizdat bulletin “Around the Draft Constitution of the USSR”). In 1978, he wrote the article “I blame the intellectual employees...”. The answers to it were collected in the collection “In Defense of Economic Freedoms” (ZES No. 1). Before his arrest, he collected, printed and distributed six more ZESs. In December 1978, he became co-editor of the samizdat magazine “Search for Mutual Understanding.” Arrested on January 23, 1980. In September 1980, he was released on his own recognizance and sentenced to 3 suspended sentences. Chairman of the Society for the Protection of Convicted Business Executives and Economic Freedoms (1989-2001); co-author (together with his wife L.N. Tkachenko) of dissident slide films (1966-1990). Published the book “The Sum of Jury Votes in Search of the Facets of Economic Freedom” (2000). Died 01/05/2018.
