Genus. in 1926 in Luxembourg (now Bolnisi, Georgia). Greek by nationality. Since September 1945 - student of the Russian department of the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi University. He was a member of the Straw Lamp literary circle. Arrested in April 1948 in connection with the case of the underground youth organization "Young Georgia" (he was not a member of the organization). Sentenced on September 21, 1948 by the Military Tribunal of the Georgian SSR Ministry of Internal Affairs troops to 10 years of labor camp under Art. 58-10 part 1 of the Criminal Code of the RSFSR (“for failure to report”). He served his sentence in Steplag (Dzhezkazgan, Kengir).
