Born on December 23, 1851 in the city of Orlov, Vyatka province. Narodnik, member of the BOP (Great Propaganda Society), later a socialist. Nobleman. In May 1878, at the “trial of the 193s,” he was sentenced to 9 years of hard labor. In August 1895, with permission from the authorities, he went to Vyatka. In 1905 he organized the Vyatka Democratic Union. Participated in the creation of the All-Russian Peasant Union in 1905-1907. He published the newspapers “Vyatskaya Life”, “Vyatka Krai” and “Vyatskaya Rech”. In 1917 he became a member of the Council of Supreme Administration of the province, which announced the non-recognition of the power of the Bolsheviks and the separation of the Vyatka province into an independent republic. Arrested 10/22/1918. Convicted on December 14, 1918 by the Vyatka Provincial Cheka. The case was dismissed for lack of evidence of a crime, and he was released from custody. Re-arrested, then released on bail. Since November 1922, member of the Society of Political Prisoners and Exiled Settlers. He was engaged in literary work, was the head of the department of the Vyatka Scientific Library named after. A. I. Herzen. Died 03/06/1937 in Kirov.
