Born in 1900 in Moscow. One of the organizers of the Nizhny Novgorod scout team "Argo". Graduated from the Nizhny Novgorod Commercial School (1918). He worked as an electrician in Nizhny Novgorod, as a preparator in a university laboratory, and in military service (1919–1921); mechanic in the 1st Volga tractor detachment (1921–1922); senior foreman, electrician in Nizhshveyprom (1922–1925); had a mechanical workshop with Gurevich V.M. in Leningrad (1925–1926); then an electrical engineer at the Kollekstroy artel in Moscow (from 06.1926). Arrested on September 29, 1926 in Nizhny Novgorod during military training, transferred to Moscow, under investigation in Butyrka prison. By resolution of the Special Meeting of the OGPU Collegium dated January 28, 1927, he was sentenced to 3 years in a concentration camp. Imprisoned in the Solovetsky camp. Transferred to Moscow for a new investigation on charges of preparing an escape, from May 28, 1928 under investigation in Butyrka prison. By resolution of the Special Meeting at the Kogpu dated October 22, 1928, he was sent “back to serve his sentence in Solovki.” By a resolution of the Special Meeting of the OGPU Collegium dated October 11, 1927, he was sentenced to 3 years of deportation to Siberia through the OGPU PP. In exile in the village of Tolmachevo, Parabelsky district. Narym region. Escaped from exile (04/07/1930), walked to Tomsk, with documents addressed to Akim Vasilyevich Borozdin, lived in Vyatka with B.I. Zelenov, who was exiled there. and Cheshikhina N.V. Arrested at the station in Moscow on the way to Nizhny Novgorod (05/08/1930). By resolution of the Special Meeting at the Kogpu dated July 18, 1930, he was sentenced to 3 years in a concentration camp. In conclusion on the LBC, Art. May-Guba: electrician at a fiberboard plant (since 09.1930). Released in 1932, married Gurenok M.V. In exile in Saratov (1933), then in Vyatka (1934). After liberation, he lived in Gorky, the chief mechanic of the Verkhnevolgoelektromontazh trust. He died in Gorky in 1989.

The memoirs cover the period from the early 1900s to 1938. The author was born in 1905 in Nizhny Novgorod. Parents - a student of the Institute of Railway Engineers and a student of the Bestuzhev courses, expelled from St. Petersburg for participating in student demonstrations of 1904-1905.
Childhood memories. Studying at a commercial Kazan school. revolutionary events. Attending rallies and meetings with parents. Participation of boys, including the author, in campaigning during the preparation of elections to the Constituent Assembly. School reform in 1918 (co-education of boys and girls). School life. The appearance of the Czechs in Kazan in the summer of 1918, the hasty retreat of the Reds, the return of the Reds and the departure of the Czechs.
A search in the absence of his father, who was not in Kazan at that time. Arrest warrant for parents as former Social Democrats, Plekhanovites. Escorting a mother and five children to the Cheka.
